Hm, I wonder if I made this up with dm7 or that it existed before that.......We found that gesture when we were trying to find a sign for blender for deaf people

Okay, all blender artists must see this thread so we may all establish a secret way of identifying eachother in real life.
Basicly, if you begin a conversation with someone about 3d graphics, make this sign, then exchange nicknames should the other person understand.

Hey, good idea with the sign, but here in America, at least the part I'm from, that sign has overtones similar to giving someone the middle finger. I like the idea of a 'secret' handshake, but perhaps another one would be a little more appropriate. I just wouldn't want to go around flashing this sign looking for blender heads, all the while ticking off every else

I see a bad advertisement featuring blender and ending in a mand giveing the salute and a fade to the logo or even worse you may see in a showreel at the next blender convention.

Are you in North America or South America? I'm in New Jersey, used to be in Florida, and while i've heard that the OK symbol means A-hole in South America I've never heard of any problems north of the border.
(True story: Back when the first American orbited the earth they put a camera in the ship. They asked him how it looked and he responded with a gesture. To North America it looked fine, but all of South America thought he had called the world Asshole.)
