I made a little video tutorial about using the game engine to create rigid body effects. Hope it can help someone.
Feel free to tell me if there is any errors or ask me the .blend or ask me questions.

Forbidden

You don't have permission to access /le-serveur-baudelaire/FranZ/rigidbody.avi on this server.

Additionally, a 403 Forbidden error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

:-?

Really curious though.

So what if I call myself an airplane? Others call themselves a bush. What's smart about that?

Was interesting watching this, but it really needs an audio track to explain as you're going along what you're doing.

tomiko, Velokoraptus : I don't know why you are getting this error , the link is OK.
Use the right-clik : save target, on your broswer.

PassiveSmok : It will try to add an audio track this week, since I'm french it's a little difficult to do something correct

Downloaded it.
This is great! And suprisingly easy.
Maybe for those who don't really get it, you could add more textboxes.

For the rest, for a spoken video tut you would have to think in English.
Which could be suprisingly diff if you're trying to keep your head with what you're doing, unless you've written everything down in detail.
And I guess that with a thick French accent it won't be easier then this :]

As if things weren't busy enough already. Thanks, the tut's a keeper. One question, since I don't have time right now, can these be rendered with the ray tracer? That would be awesome. Serious FX.

Oh yeas, since the physics simulation is recorded to IPOs you can render it exactly the same as those animations you create manually.

this is a seriously good tut, mrfranz, thanks alot!

Thanks all for your comments. I'm happy that you find this tut usefull.

Marty_D : Yes of course it can be rendered.

And you can create a bunch of nice Fx. It is the first time I'm using the game engine but I think there is lot of posibility to create some nice effects with it and the record to IPO feature.

Simply

THE BEST VIDEO TUTORIAL THAT I HAVE EVER SEEN!

That isn't just for Blender, but for any software!

People who say it needs sound, I didn't think so. It worked with the boxes with explainations. I've been struggling to figure out the new engine, and this has explained all my questions (so far). Loved the zooming! Great job!

I found this very helpfull, I thought it would be a lot harder to use the rigid body fx in animations, your video proved that to be wrong, thanks

I was wondering how you could make the object bounce harder.
And one more thing, I was able to combine this with softbodies.
F*ckin' A! Like jelly falling to the floor.
Now I should make it splash on second hit.
