Hi all.

Okay, I'll start by making my apologies, especially to Cipix. He (or she?) indirectly made me realize that the Weekend Challenges aren't getting me anywhere. except maybe the WC-throne. Haha, watch out Robertt, here I come! So I kinda promised I would retire from the challenges, and put more and longer effort into my Blenderwork. But since then I haven't made anything interesting! And when I read the topic of this WC (cool toys), I just couldn't resist. I guess I'm not a man of my word... sorry. :|

Anyway, here it is:

Ton Roosendaal Action Figure

Rendered with Yafray (this was really necessary!)

Because of the fact that I'm a perfectionist and my Blenderskills are extremely slow and poor, I wasn't able to finish it like I wanted it, leaving me very unsatisfied about it. More renders, text and ideas I wanted to add didn't make it in this WC-version. Shame. I was in such a hurry I also made many mistakes. Oh well, I'm sure you can find them. I hope I can find the energy some day to make it the version I wanted it to be. Much better looking, with more ideas and absolutely funnier.

Still hope you like it.
I also appreciate all kinds of C&C. though only Cipix is allowed to call it crap....

Cheers,
Sago

and now I'm really going to bed...

VROOOOOMMMM!!

Gotta teach the kids the power of the mif jacket :P

Exceptional idea sago, I really like it. Just out of curiosity, how did you want it modeled? Like the drawing you did for wu for 'goofing around on orange'?

If you draw a front and side profile, I'll happily model it. Im sure there would be a lot of other takers as well. anyway, up to you, its something to think about.

cheers.

LOL!!! Thats awesome, great idea dude. Wonder what Ton thinks of it, i mean, dosent everyone want to have their own action figure, i know i would.... hehe

Could you put the blender logo on him somewhere, i would say his jacket or something, but by the hardcore looks of him, it may be better as a Tattoo.

Good stuff!

Matt

That's a great pic Sago, congrats.

And you have no need to apologize for entering weekend challenge, it's a great way of develope your modeling skills and tackle subjects you normally wouldn't even think about. So in all I'd say, even tough there's no prize other than naming the next subject, WC's are very usefull.
Just keep enetering if you feel like and don't give a damn about if someone feels the challenge is useless.
