Good new folks,

after reading *lots* of complains on 'Blender not having a knife tool' I decided to write one.

-><-[30k]

Features:
Cuts a Mesh along a specified Plane

Comparisons:
It is better then using Intersect or Boolean (for the same job) because the algorithm, being cut-along-plane specific is much simpler and robust. so simple that it mantains quad faces quad as far as possible

It is different from the rusy knife script (q.v.) inasmuch it cuts a mesh in two separate meshes and does not split selected faces in half maintaining a single mesh.

Problems:
This is Vers. 0.0.6. Should be considered beta quality.
It works BOTH on 2.23 and 2.25 (thank eeshlo)
but on 2.25 it generates LOTS of duplicated vertices
because 2.25 lacks the 'Remove Double' API call.

Have fun

Stefano

I almost forgot I got this but I remembered and tryed it out. I logged back in just to tell you that I tested it and it works great.
You did a good job and it is also very very easy to use. Please don't quit programing stuff like this. I didn't even know that I needed a tool like this but now that I tryed it I see lots of uses for it. Well done.
