Doesn’t work for me on Linux Mint 17.1 (Ubuntu 14.04)

when I hit render I get those two errors:

ERROR: Environment: Don't know how to create Integrator of type 'pathtracing'!
ERROR: Environment: Specify an _existing_ Integrator!!

Yafaray 1.99 works fine!

I need more info for understand your issue:

  • use you the exporter inside this package or some other exporter version from githubpage ?
  • can you share the complete console message, please ?

I downloaded the bounty 7z from Bounty’s site.

Then I downloaded the exporter from the link in you post at the top of the page and replaced accordingly without touching the bin file.

I open Blender create new scene add a plane, a monkey and a sun light.

Didn’t modified any settings didn’t apply any materials.

No matter which integrator I choose the errors is the same.

Seems that this error is an ‘TheBounty / YafaRay’ conflict because the similarity of some names. You can try to de-activate yafaray addon ( or change /yafaray/init.py to yafaray/init.tmp) and trying again render with TheBounty. I hope fix very soon this conflict. Thanks for your interest on TheBounty

Sorry for the late response! I followed you advice, disabled Yafaray, saved user settings, restarted Blender, everything is OK!

Tested all integrators no problem at all.

It’s indeed a “quick” fix!!!

Hi Povmaniaco, may I ask you why the edges of the SSS mesh are of a dark color? Considering the Fresnel effect I would expect a very different result; is that a current limitation of the SSS or shall it be mixed with … something else? Thank you.

Good point Harvester… Maybe is not a SSS limitation. The dark edges is because the angle of the light incidence on the mesh ( from the window…). I use a ‘textured background’ for lighting. More exactly, a blurred version on the background image. The final render are composed in blender compositor.
