Crysis 2 Nano suit

I never said easy, just not too hard
I am still very much learning myself.

Iā€™ve never seen the game, but it certainly looks nice to me! I agree that your topology looks very clean and simple.

Really nice modelling! I suggest first finishing the model than playing with shaders. Nevertheless good work!

Come take a look, absolutely surprisehttp://www.mbtsupermaket.com

@DDD I am going to force myself to learn

@spaceboy64 :smiley: thanks

@rozmiarek I would normally agree, the problem is that modelling on this guy is pretty tedious so I took a break from that and did some material tests instead :stuck_out_tongue:

Back to modelling and so also back to clay rendersā€¦

questionā€¦ are full HD wip renders helpful or do they take too long to load?

Sorry I didnt want to triple post so i updated this one
Finished the arms, here is a turnable

HD renders are perfectly fine as long as you keep linking to them through the thumbnail.
I must say awesome job so far. You are working at a fast pace here.

Gotcha  Finished everything down to the waistā€¦ (although i will go back in and add in smaller details)

I think the forearms are too big.
Have you seen this image:

I am building it from reference images so it should be okā€¦ It might just look that way because he doesnt have hands yetā€¦ well see

Ohok didnā€™t realise sorry :S

That is the main reference image that i am using
Thank you

The first Crysis game was amazing. Havenā€™t gotten to play the second one.

Nice job with the modeling, looks amazing!

Thank you FrozenPaw, I only just downloaded the first crysis game a week or so ago when there was a sale on :stuck_out_tongue:

@DDD or anyone that knows more than me about cycles, I have had a play around with it with my model and its looking really nice  as soon as i add in a texture though it crashes when i press renderā€¦ I downloaded 2 different versions from graphicall with the same result. (this is the kind of reason that I would rather wait for a more stable release :stuck_out_tongue: )

Latest updateā€¦ little more modelling doneā€¦

Awesome just the materials on the helmet are a bit odd

Yeah i dunno how i can help you with that one. I have the CPU only version that i am usingā€¦which is surprisingly faster than the GPU version. (cycles_cpu_36572) I had to put in textures for my Audi and it worked fineā€¦
Also i dont think multiple textures workā€¦

Thanks Jake6644, thanks i will try to fix that

@DDD I had the cpu only one as well which worked fine until i tried to apply a textureā€¦ hope it goes to beta soooooon!!!

Here, is this what you are doing?
The mapping node can be connected if necessary to make any adjustments to the position/scale of the texture.
