2009 dual xeon (multithreaded) 4 cores x2 = 16 threads render at ~2/3 of these Nvidias you know. Still slower but powered with 24 GB RAM. I prefer it this way. Oh, yes I do. I wonder, what about dualXeons 6 cores 24 threads? Too expensive? Really?
A good CPU is for any app, not just blender cycles
