Messerschmitt Me 262A-1a Schwalbe

Very good mrys…

Do you have this plane parked in garage or what, because the details are amazing. I cannot wait to see it finished, the pictures you posted look very promising that this aircraft will be unbelievable (well, it is believable, but hardly :spin:). The UV mapping and texture painting will be quite hard, eh?

Damn good stuff, as usual . Keep it up!

I wish I could model like you!

Incredible job.

I added some details…:stuck_out_tongue:

Hi mates!

Here is main wheel in progress. I decided to add more details then I planed at start, so tyre is modeled with tread.

Wow!! very nice high quality model…It’s so clean, even the renders look good. i’m very, very impressed. I cannot wait until you texure it.

Dammmmnn… I envy you..

Great, Awesome, stunning modelling.

very sweet model. Lovin’ it

Keep up the good work!

You have any wireframe of the tire? are the threads modelled or bumpmapped?

I love how the details you put in is so accurate. You have any real reference? (work in airplane industry?) or you work using photo reference only?

Ecks@: tyre is fully modeled. Here is corrected version (changed edges of tread). And wires for you

Modeling Me 262 (and every other plane) I try to collect good documentation - books, drawings, photographs. I’am preparing drawings by myself also for smaller details based on photographs. Real photos are also the final and main base for detailing model.

this tyre… sometimes the wireframe looks even more gorgeous than the render… this is a case. what a detail finesse.

Hi mates!

Here is new update. I was working with main wheel - all main elements: wheel, leg, pistons are ready and correct setting up. Gear is fully retractable. Now I’am going to add cables and start with interior of wheel’s bay (shell is ready, as you see on one shoot).

We all know you got this thing parked outside, quit acting like you don’t have the money.

You surely must be looking forward to unwrapping and texturing, because you have there insane amount of detail. How big will be the final renders? And how many polygons?

Client wants model no render, (I’ll made them only for myself so it is not a problem  ). About polycount - truly don’t know how big is for now, but my F-111, detailed on similar level, was 770 K, what is not too much for such model I think.

Time to small update. I worked on interiors of main gear’s bay and I’am almost at the end of this part. What need to be done are: cables, oxygene bottles and some small elements. And of course inner doors.

Thanks for the info. Almost 800k polys isn’t that many for these details.

That is just amazing. Lovely renders as well. Its just beautiful.

The 3D Mechanic Art. Very impressive

Thanks guys!

I was a litle tired with this undercarriage, but it is ready now. Time to go to cockpit. There are also some small details to build

Absolutely awesome work of modelling! Would you like to tell us how you did your tires? They’ve a really great topology - rarely’ve seen that good tire - modelling.
