julperado, thank you !!
khalibloo, thank you !!
I hope you find her now less alienating while she’s still a mixture of realism and stylization.
I think I’m getting there…very slowly.
Hope you guys like this small update :).
One thing I find rather strange: her hat has this straight edge in front, while the sides are rounded as I intended ? (subdiv level 3).
I’ve spent some time adding hair, but I didn’t like any of my efforts yet.

Hi Ranquin,
Here’s a few crits, the cheek bones indent way too much and is not natural. The head shape is a little too square.
People always tend to get the eyelashs wrong. Much too dark and too thick. I’d maybe just reduce the glossiness on the forehead.
Hope that helped.

@iamthwee : I guess you didn’t red that

No I did read that, but stylisation or not you can’t disagree with my critique. It’s only to help the OP improve their renders.
Nice first sculpt BTW.

iamthewee,
nobody has to like what I do in any way, I’m just having fun. The stylizations are choices that I make according to my liking.
Yep, I really have to fix her lower eyelashes.
Nice first sculpt BTW.
Thanks.
And you’re absolutly right about the glossiness on the forehead.

@Ranquin , I think iamthewee was refering to my sculpt, since is the first of my sketchbook, but I could be wrong :spin:.
Your sculpts are amazing. Do you know a technique for texturing a dyntopo mesh without retopoing it???

That is a very nice looking alien bust! His expression really tells a lot about his character.

I had some fun with her simple hat and elongated her face a bit.
I guess the final render/comp won’t be much different.
Hope you like …

I really like the one in #49 He reminds me of a Protoss in Starcraft.
