I was wrong. “my problem” happens in 2.57, 2.59, 2.64a, 2.65RC1

And it happens if you enter the preferences…

hi John, believe I have the same tablet… (although i use it on Windows and sometimes Linux)

It works Perfect with Blender on Windows,
Linux however i have yet to get pressure sensitivity to work with ANY application with this tablet.
(I need to play with it some more… )

Its got to be a driver issue…
Its a great tablet if you have Windows.

They really should get some cross platform drivers for it since its relatively “cheap”

this is the one i have

http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=108&cp_id=10841&cs_id=1084102&p_id=6814&seq=1&format=2

I never use the extra buttons on the sides…
they also have a model without the function buttons…
(ehh they dont bother me, there if i ever need them
for < $50 i guess ya cant complain to much

Its similar to my tablet, but I don’t have the buttons to the left. The stylus and the rest of the tablet appear identical

The driver is as cheap as cheapware gets. So, I’m not surprised it has issues.

For $50 is great; overall I really like it. But, I would like it a whole lot more if I could use it in Blender…

Also, I wish I could assign a stylus button for the mouse wheel, but I’m luck in that I am left handed. When I need the mouse wheel, I can have one hand on my mouse and the stylus in the other.

I had something interesting happen. I deleted my Mac user preferences because of a desktop wall paper issue, this cleared up all my other preferences and I needed to re install the tablet driver. However, before I did I tested the tablet and it worked perfectly in blender! Only, it didn’t work at all in Photoshop :frowning: So, I suppose the solution is to delete the driver when I know I’m going to be in blender for a while and re install to use in Photoshop? There has got to be a better way.

By the way, if you have a monoprice tablet, the manufacturer is actually UC-logic and you can get their most current drivers here: http://www.uc-logic.com/en/index.php?ParentMenuID=4

It seems my Bamboo works fine until I try to change User Preferences, like Emulate Numpad.

Hello all
i’m trying to setup a wacom intuos3 to work with blender 2.66 in ubuntu 12.04, to be most precise to set the pad buttons to work, with xsetwacom i can add (copy paste from linuxwacom wiki) setting for the buttons in gimp and inkscape but so far i fail to do the same for blender. if any one can point me toward a solution it will be most appreciated
