IRC client inside blender

Hi,

I update my IRC script:
http://marc.gardent.free.fr/index.php/2007/07/08/18-blender-plugin-irc-client

now you can use it without python install under windows.

A screenshoot :

Bybye…

ooooh this is kewl

all we need is an mp3 player, embedded Mozilla and were set! - the blender os.

oh man!!! this is good! gotta try this! thanks marco!

JiBé wrote the gameBlender Version. You can get here:
http://www.zoo-logique.org/3D.Blender/blenderfiles/BZooIrc.blend

I think that more people can be interested by that.

I don’t try it… but you can see a integration in Bzoo :

Marc ++

Blender OS…That would Cut a nice hole into a Bil Gates´s Wallet

It doesn’t work for me. It says

“Connecting to: irc.freenode.net / 6667
Traceback (most recent call last):
File “<string>”, line 505, in <module>
NameError: name ‘cmdBuffer’ is not defined”

Why?
And yes, I have Python 2.5 installed.

The except line failled :s I will fix it.
Normaly a message is writed on screen and not a exception raised :
“Connection failled:Check your connection, server adress or your firewall”

3 cases :
connection is down
server adress is wrong
the firewall block the connection

So you have to open a access to irc.freenode.net / 6667 for blender exec.

No, it’s not my firewall. I tried setting Blender as an exception for my firewall, and that didn’t work. I even tried shutting off my firewall completely. It’s got to be something else.

Any other ideas?
