Plugin Distribution

I’ve made a bunch of plugins that I think are worth distributing
Where should I send them?

I’ll post some samples of them in use here soon

give us a description of what they do?

looking forward to seeing them anyway…

something new is always good.

someone should be willing to host them for you

OK, here are the samples:
Speckle
Old Movie
Spin
Random-Dot Stereogram

They’re all Sequence plugins, because I have more fun with them
The image used isn’t all that interesting, but it’s the effects that are.

Good!
The old movie effect can be very useful, please work on it
(for example with blur on point). Now I ask to my friends if anyone
can take you a free place to send the plugin.

I can host them myself, that’s fine.

I was just wondering if there was a central place where they were stored, or a list of all the plugins availiable or something like that

I’d send them to whoever runs this site:
http://www-users.cs.umn.edu/~mein/blender/plugins/

It’s a pretty comprehensive list

Nice. I like the speckle ( though is that not like the alpha over/under effect already in the sequence editor) and alow the old movie effect. The random stereogram I could not see, I always have problems with those things. Twist was nice. I can see some use in those. The only thing I would say is pay very close attention to making good documentation when you do post them. One of the things that I find in the blender community( as well as the computer community at large) is the developers work so hard to write good “stuff” they tend to forget that people that have no clue need to know how to use their “stuff”

That’s why I haven’t released them yet.

They’re all ready to go, but I’m still making them useable.
In their current state they’re only useable because I know exactly how they work.

I just sent them off to that list. They should be there soon.

Enjoy!

[edit] They’re up! [/edit]

I think you need to send the webmaster of that site some screen shots of your plugins in action. I went there and the plugins are listed but all he has are those indented squares with the red x on white background square indicating no graphic.

I have, he just hasn’t put them up yet
