    If you want to stream generic encrypted files (that are not packed into blend files), you will want the new bi-directional communication protocol in v1.08. Unfortunately, v1.08 is still a work in progress and its next release is planned for July.

    The only other way to stream generic encrypted files in the current (v1.07b) build would be to import or write your own python library to read/write/encrypt the files yourself (but this would be more work obviously).

    Already worked around it for now, but good to know.


    At the moment I am using a pickled dictionary and loading it into a kdtree to then look up what tiles to spawn, and build the tiles using copies of 1 tile that is splat mapper , I libNew the mesh, deform height and set vertex color and normal, and Reinstance physics mesh (unique copy upbge).

    The normal procedure for using UPBGE is to 1) download UPBGE's blenderplayer, 2) download BPPlayer, 3) place UPBGE's blenderplayer (and files) in the same directory as BPPlayer, and 4) when you generate your block file (in the BPPlayerGUI.exe), make sure to click the "Import Custom Player" button and select UPBGE's blenderplayer.

    So, is this on schedule?

    I have been looking at loading in terrain tiles using python, and while ot works, it can't be confused with fast, as it requires iteration, I could probably make it a little faster on my end....


    But i think streaming converted game mesh to / from disk should be much faster right?
