tweening in blender

Is tweening possible in Blender, and if so, how is it achieved? I am new to the animation side of Blender, and I am trying to learn more.

Cheers.

Hi Pompey,

Glad to see someone else into Blender animation! For the animation capabilities,
check out the wiki at blender.org under animation basics. Sorry, I’m not senior enough to post the link.

Like shape tweening from flash?
The closest you’ll get is Shape Keys and the Cast Modifier. I think.

Tween?

I dont even know what that is.

Is it alright if I ask for a definition?

tween just means interpolation i think. interpolation happens automatically once you set two or more keyframes. in blender it goes like this: 1) select object, press ‘i’ and choose an option from the menu ( loc rot size etc ) to set your first keyframe. Now advance ( using the arrow keys or the slider ) to the frame where you want your next keyframe, say, frame 11. now move your object, and once again press ‘i’, and choose from the menu. It is kind of backwards from flash, in which you set the keyframe, and then move the object, but it works essentially the same. you can also set keyframes in the materials buttons, and the world buttons.

Thanks guys.
