I am modelling a wind turbine (pic below) and have animated the front part and blades (in red) to spin. I then need at one point in the animation for the whole unit that sits on top of the poll to rotate back and forth left to right…kind of like a weather vane. If i parent anything again for the whole top part the front end and blades dont rotate anymore…i have tried groupng the front part and blades and then parenting to that but that does not work either.
… So are the “bullet tip” and the blades separate objects and you made the tip the parent for the blades ? If so you should select the tip and then the back part and make the back part the parent of the tip …
If that doesn’t work for some reason, post a blend …
