fluid sim bobj files do not retain transform info

I create a domain and fluid sim object away from the origin, say, 10, 10, 0, and run the simulation.

When I import any of the resulting mesh files, they are much smaller, and much closer to the origin (0,0,0).

How do I prevent this from happening? It looks like the transformation information which is used to move the domain and fluid sim object to (10,10, 0) in our example, is not being applied. Same for scaling information.

Any help would be most appreciated.

The fluid objects have to be scaled and translated by the same values as the Fluid Domain object.
