Updated the script with a Frequency option. (And added a screenshot of the script)
I will continue to develop this script, so if you want anything special, just tell me and I will see what I can do.

Example movies are comming

To do:
Toggle - X, Y, Z lock
Toggle - Delete previous ipo’s

Works good, is there a way to make it work on the dLoc rather than the main Loc ipo though as it would be good to apply to existing camera moves and still be able to tweak them?

nice one

Christian

It’s a realy good point you have there, I will look in to it.
A workaround is to set the shake animation on the camera and then parent the camera with an empty that you move the camera around with. But that is a bit too complex by my taste.

I thought that too, I tried changing the ‘LocX’ etc variables to dLoc ones but it wasnt that simple unfortunately, nice little script though!

It now has 4 new toggle buttons, one to lock each axis and one to clear all ipos before calculating the shake. (Still havn’t found out how to get access to the VisualLoc curves, if somebody knows, enlighten me please :))

Now there’s a examplevideo to look at if you just klick the image at the first post

Very nice script! I just test it… it’s simple and predictible! Great script. I recommend this script with “must have” label!
Thank you for you efford.

Thanks for the kind words… I’m working on a update right now (this is more of a note to myself). The new version will have the options to use loc or/and rot shake. The goal is to be able to simulate human camera motion.

Added support for Rotation jitter to get more control. Script-link is updated

Kothe, thanks for your script, it looks really useful.

hey, nice script.

i like the rotational jitter.
and i agree with krupa about the dLoc and dRot vars, it’s better to apply the jitter as a delta to the original IPO.

further i’d like to see an option for different types of ease, not only linear but also square, inverse square and maybe even sinus:

http://i.msdn.microsoft.com/Dd377408.param_curves01(en-us,VS.85).gif

and to make the challenge complete, i want a frequency ease in and out, too.
you know starting slow, getting faster to the specified frequency maximum and then again slowing down to zero.

Sounds like nice features to work in to it. Does anybody how hard it will become to rebuild this script when 2.5 is out? (Don’t like to put all the effort if I can’t make an easy fix for 2.5 later :/)

Take your time with it, and do as you please. Honestly I haven’t tried it out yet, but I plan on using it for future films. Thanks Kothe.

I’ve had a bit of computer trouble the latest days so I havn’t had any time to code very much, but the script is still in development, so expect updates soon

I made a page on the wiki for you.
http://wiki.blender.org/index.php/Scripts/Manual/Animation/Shake_n_Bake
If you have any docs or screen shots I can include them also.
Or if you like, you can join the wiki & write your docs there also.

Finaly a new update:
Now the script supports “Soft curves” wish is a sinus-controlled easein/easeout instead of a linear. Look at the example below:

The download link is in the first post

Now updated with documentation and presets within the nice gui!

It sure would be nice with some feedback

what more is there to say? it works perfect. Plain and simple. I love it Thanks!
