Wow, very realistic. That’s all I can say.

He’s a cute little booger  I love his hand, but his face is kinda, weird I guess… But that microphone material looks spot on.

Great character and render.

Not bad, what renderer did you use?

That’s awesome, great render and loads of character too - can’t have a good image without both in my books.

wow.
thats AMAZING.

i wanna be the first to say… PUT THIS IN THE GALLERY! :stuck_out_tongue:

It looks good, except for the the edges of the hamster (?) the compositing looks odd, perhaps the DOF? Its very noticeable around the top of the head and the left ear.

that’s just great!

I love to see high quality renders from the internal

great material on the microphone

Yeah I looooove the mics! What great materials and attention to detail. Cute hamster too. Is that SSS on the fingers?

Congrats, this render its great
va en criollo, ta guenisimo!!

Thanks; you are right about that hair - I will blur them a bit today; I hope nobody minds ig I replace the old render by the new one?

Nicely done!!

So cute, hehe

good job, man!
You make the most great use for the interal rendering for this works~! Keep this up~
Really want to see your microphone material setting and your environment setting~ those really looks realistic~!! 5stars from me~

Glad i followed the WIP thread, this looks really nice…and sweet let me add. Love the little rodent and his 15 minutes of fame

OK, so I’ve replaced the first image.

About my settings - nothing fancy, really. I do not consider myself as a good material editor so I expect you’ll be quite dissapointed… but here you go!

My microphone settings (metal); I used a simple scratched-metal texture from CG textures.

My fur settings; first are the settings for the fur-diffuse texture (SSS, no particles yet)…

…and here are my settings for the texture responsible for hair transparency; the other one, that gave particles the colour of the fur (from the picture above) used a fur texture with Strands mapping.

And here are my nodes - my first attempts here, so their scheme is rather weird. Moreover after rendering I found out that the wall in the background is a bit too bright - I darkened it using this system.

And my lights setup; most of the lamps were working on the exact layers with the exact objects; I also used a HDRI map for the scene with “Add” AO light.
