F12 renders scene render button will not.

Hi,

I am doing the pup tent tutorial and have an issue. When rendering the camera view, if I hit F12 it will render fine. When I hit the render button, in the render options panel, it just renders a blue window with nothing in it. Has anyone else experienced? Or can someone perhaps tell me what I am doing wrong.
