Armature constraint question

I’m animating an animals head where one bone is the head and snout and the lower jaw is another bone. It kinda foms a V shaped pattern. When I rotate the lower bone to open and close the mouth I get slight amount of roll that makes his jaw looks twisted. Any way I can lock the axis of rotation of the jaw bone to the head bone so it will stay in line with it? I want the head to move freely as part of the armature while the jawbone can only rotate off the head bones one axis. Copy rotation or something like that?

Simplest way… when you rotate the lower jaw bone, just hit x twice to lock the rotation to the direction you want. whilst you are rotating it.

And make the lower jaw bone a child of the head bone so it rotates along with that one.

Simple but yeah that’ ll work, thanks.
