import 3dstudiomax animations to blender

is it possible some way?

3dsmax can export ascii-format scenes. not sure, if animation data is stored, but if, it could be pulled out using python.

similar, but still a different approach would be using maxscript to write specific motion data to disk, and again use python to convert them to blender IPO’s.

i don’t think that either script exists, but if you really need it you should try for yourself or catch up with someone who’s good in python and mess around. i’m interested myself in data exchange between different 3d software but i have hardly spare time.
