You play as a peach and you have to pickup (or find) 50 acorns in each level to pass to the next level.
World 1 is finished now, and I’m now working on a small demo where you can play Level 1.
I’ve started working on World 2, and just finished working on level 1 wich contains AI. I had some problems making the AI, because I only use logic bricks in this game.
The process shown in this update, except for the A.I., has been lost, I’m still planning to make a water/desert world, but first some other things.
The last month or so, I’ve been working on a menu for the game and improving the 4 levels I’ve got. All that (menu + 1 world) is finished now and I can start working on world 2. (the progress I’ve showed in the previous update is lost, I did save the AI)
Here are some behind the scenes:
The logic-bricks on the right of the screen are of the Peach
This is what the menu looks like:
I’m quite satisfied with the way the menu bar looks.
Loving the graphical style of this. Very similar kind of look to what I hope to achieve with the 2D game I’m currently working on. It’s given me some inspiration
… and those logic bricks  Wow, I couldn’t imagine trying to debug problems in there. You could simplify it a lot with a few basic python scripts I reckon.
Looks really cool! Now I would just say to work on the HUD more and try to make it look more professional. The logo looks great so I know you have the 2D skills to make the HUD better also Keep it up
@ST150 Yeah I’ve had my problems with debugging  But I like solving the problems, it’s like a puzzle. About Python, I know it could really make things easier, but this is my first game and I started it to learn myself the logic bricks. I haven’t learned Python yet
@The Dawisch Thanks for the tip, I will start on improving the HUD
Thank you for replying
Edit: I have made a new texture for the Acornbar:
(It looks like this when you’ve picked up 100 acorns)
I’ve decided to add a multiplayer segment to the game, which will have nothing to do with the world/levels-arc. The multiplayer is kinda like the coinbattle’s in Mario. You battle against each other and try to pick up 100 acorns before the other player does. The new character will be a tomato…
The countdown:
In battle:
The winner:
For the fans of logic-bricks:
I plan to do make more of these battle’s. They only take one weekend to create from scratch, which is not much compared to the ~2-4 months I spend on each level. The style of this level is also going to be the style of world 2.
I do plan to release a demo, but I don’t think enough people are interested yet. If I will get more reactions on my work I’ll be happy to make a demo
