That looks amazing! Incredibly realistic.

Wow that’s awesome. Yeah, definitely realistic. Great work!

Cool, original, realistic, very well executed.
The environment is modeled or it is just a photo? It looks like a plane/mesh with displacement.
Any wire would be nice.
Cheers.

Wow, i thought the first one was a photo reference. Very realistic looking.

Wires please?

Wow, it’s pretty amazing how much realism can be done on consumer hardware these days with the right render engine.

It practically looks like you just caught a black scorpion and took a photo of it with a real camera, I can pretty much say by now, here comes the new generation of photographers, armed not with a camera, but with a modeling program and a render engine.

The only critique i can give you is scorpions skin is bit too clean. I once got a chance to hold a scorpion in my hand and i noticed scorpions are bit dusty, other than that your render is incredible!
This really deserves to be in forum gallery.

The above renders are fantastic, similar to those above I initially believed that the first of the renders was a photo reference; in addition this superb image deserves to reside within the Forum Gallery.

Truly amazing. I like the last one (indoor) the most, the materials are very organic looking and lighting is fantastic. Would love to know what you used for the environment.

Thanks !

This is some wires and solid view :

Radek> the ground is not a photo. As you said , it is a grid with displacement and some rocks.

ParticleXY> For the environnement i use a free exr than i found here :

http://gl.ict.usc.edu/Data/HighResProbes/index.php#data

It’s 'Pisa courtyard nearing sunset, Italy '.

Excellent, thank you for the link. High-res probes will come in useful, better reflections as well.

Excelent as always…

I saw the first image, the the second and the third and I kept scrolling the page looking for the render

Whooahh, beautiful work, very photorealistic. This gets 5 stars from me and a new desktop background!
