coolio!

This is fabulous work! just Great!!! And with the hopefull Open Sourcing of Blender… Maybe you’ll get access to all the yet unreached settings!!! So much excitement!

One slight problem…
"Bad zip header found:
Central header missing or corrupt
Ending header missing or corrupt

Continue?"

then a lot of my files are garbled.

I have the same problem as plunneberg, the zipfile seems to be corrupt…

Very nice exporter. Thanx very much, Green!!

Whilst I’m on the subject of BMRT, does anyone know where I can find a decent tutorial on how to use it well? I mean, I can get it to render stuff through Blenderman, but that’s it. I’ve tried the manual that came with the install, but it seems to be more directed at the IT resources manager at Pixar (PhD, Ba, Bsc, MA, MSC, BCS) than the (slightly!) dumber user like myself  .

Any ideas anyone?

Thanx a lot.

With the toiff stuff… is imagemagick still required for textures? or is that unnecessary now?

I am unable to see any textures output on my mesh. Does the texture channel matter? Maybe to answer all my questions… what texture information is supported?

Still… great improvements in speed and keep up the fantastic work you are doing!

hi,

the same exported for povray35 with povanim:

(original light and material has been a bit modified …)

I used the same file for the Lightflow script of course, as well as rungirlrun, nothing to show though, it was just a test after all, didn’t look as good either of course.

I don’t think so, but I still don’t know if I compiled the Linux version correctly, it might be that the libraries I used must be available on your system, if you use Linux that is of course…
If anyone had problems with the totiff module on Linux, let me know…

I think I can say that only uv-textures are supported…

Thanks for the info eeshlo! I’ll have to do some messing around… for some reason my uv textures aren’t working… I’ll keep at it though… thanks again!

about the zip errors.
I have tried to uncompress it with winzip, powerarchiver and winrar. all worked just fine.

so I think there is something wrong with your download

There was an error with the zip file for almost 24 hours… I’ve since been able to open it up properly. Thanks for the constant work! Its a great script!

Hey green, have you ever thought about implenting a renderman exporter in the source? Would be cool. You now have some experience in exporting anyway.

yes. but its impossible to know if i want to do that before i see the source
