    Blender Guru Competition: Scifi

This competition's theme is Scifi, aka Science Fiction. Aliens, deep space travel, robots, futuristic worlds, I'm sure you can imagine the possibilities.

    >>View the full guidelines and prizes<<

There are two categories: Images and Animations. You may choose one to enter into.

    Entering
To enter the competition, post a link or embed your image or video in this thread.

    • For image hosting I recommend Pasteall.org (avoid imgur as it badly compresses images).
    • For video hosting, please use only Youtube or Vimeo.

Please only post your entry once. You can update your post as many times as you like. If you'd like feedback please open a WIP.

    May the best artist win!

For questions, send me a tweet @andrewpprice.

I missed too much Andrew's competitions so that i decided to show off my n00b skills. Drop by my WIP and feel free to comment and criticize. Good luck to everyone! (Let the best one wins)

P.S.: I know that you may be tired of all that "hooray, my first contest" but I'm honestly looking forward to it. So be kind to me

I want to enter XD Allready have a lot of ideas. Now It's just a matter of choosing and working them out. I hope I will make it in 5-6 weeks Good luck to everyone
    And here is my WIP
Hope you like it, and any help will obviously be appreciated.

After a blood, sweat and tears I finally finished it. And I must say I'm a bit proud of it There are only two works I'm proud of and it are both my entries to blenderGuru competitions. I think contests are a great way of putting you to the best.
Anyway, Here's a bit of information:

Creator: GenZ (ignore my old and awefull acocunt name )
Description: There is not really a title, and for those who don't really see it, here's a story:
Any time in the future, humans will have completley destroyed earth and made it impossible to live on. So the human race will be forced to move to another planet (might be mars, but could be any other planet). Weather conditions on this new home-planet are very difficult to live. That's why synthetic living atmospheres were created. People lived on happely. Yet people also became more and more isolated because of the quarantaine each city lived in. The red power lines are the only connections left.
    Entry: High Res

I hope you like it, happy blendering to everyone

Ok. Thank for the answer ^^

So... how large do the animations have to be? 'Cause if they have to be the same size as the images (1920 x 1280), I kinda don't think you'll be seeing very many entries under that category, if any at all...

Andrew, could I make a picture, where I have my main object (the ship/ car etc.) and then a image object behind it. Also, can I use image textures? Thanks.
Blender is only as good as you can imagine it.
