City block Gen. help

i am using the city block gen. by ezual.
how do i define what objects i want it to use?
thanks!

The CityBlock script has been rolled into the Beast script. Here is the link of the original thread:

The first 7 or 8 pages deals with CityBlock then it starts talking about Beast. I’ve used both but it’s been awhile. Seems Beast has been forgotten, or at least it’s been awhile since I’ve heard anything from it’s developers. It’s a great script, if a bit buggy. if you don’t know, besides buildings, Beast is used for hair/fur/grass. It incorporates a process using planes instead of particles (such as the Fiber script).

For CityBlock, as well as Beast, you create an object (your “building”) and then save it as a .bbf file from the script. Then you load those buildings (or other objects) into the script, saving a .bbl file. This list of buildings is used to generate your city block. The city block is a grid where the buildings are placed on the grid’s vertices. In Beast, you can delete faces where you don’t want buildings placed (streets for example).

Hope this is enough to get you started.

were can i get the newest version of beast?
how do you,
-"save it as a .bbf file from the script. Then you load those buildings (or other objects) into the script, saving a .bbl file. "
and then how do i load the list?

Here is a link to the latest version of the Beast script (as far as I know):

http://misaligned.net/random/beast0_5_3Alpha.py

Here is a link to the Beast.pdf file:

http://projects.blender.org/docman/?group_id=42

This document contains information that will explain how to create the BBF files as well as the BBL files.

You should read the CityBlock/Beast thead as detailed in my last post. Lots of useful info in there.

Have fun

thanks, only prob, when i click unleash beast it says
“logo.py not found” in the consol :x
were can i get that?

I don’t know. I’ve never seen that error before. Perhaps you need to have a full python install.

Sorry I couldn’t have been more help :frowning:

well i just deleted the logo section at the end of the script
