Blender's panels as a GUI interface for scripts?

Is it or will it be possible in the feature to have python scripts run in floating panels?

Thats an excellent idea, I agree definately something for a wish list.

Sombody did a few tests with this a while back-
They got it working with very high CPU useage due to the events system.

Evevyone wants it AFAIK - Ton too- so when sombody does it, it will be included.
