'Save UV Face Layout' script crashes frequently

just wondering if anyone else is running into this. it only seems to happen when large pixel dimensions (greater than 1000) are entered.

blender will freeze and then quit.

is there any other way to get a UV map out of Blender? i would have expected something so fundamental to be hardcoded. not sure why this is left as a script.

Doesn’t happen with me… But a UV-Face layout is just a kind of template, it doesn’t have to be of very high quality, does it? So if the script only crashes with high resolutions, save a smaller one and scale it up in a image editor.
Theeth and jms should soon come to rescue…

i didn’t know one could do that. so the size of the image is irrelevant?

this is going to save me a lot of grief.

Yeah, how it calculates the image isn’t really adapted to the situation. I’ll see if I can solve that when I have some time.
