Rust language 3D logo

Hello everyone

I’m starting this thread to ask you for suggestions to my rust-language 3D logo i’m currently trying to accomplish.

Here is my WIP logo i’m talking about:

Here is the rust material i use for this model:

And yes, this one from Andrew Price’s tutorial.

Image blur is the node from b°wide NodePack.
So… what do you thing? How can i make it better?
Any suggestions?

Thank you, and have a nice day

Scene itself could be found here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/h3h4okgddiuj1fu/rust.zip?dl=0

Logo in original looks like this: https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/d/d5/Rust_programming_language_black_logo.svg

And yes, i forgot to mention it: Rust is a upcoming programming language.
Read about this lang on wiki: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rust_(programming_language)

I recently made a similar material which is simpler, but it is for blender internal renderer not cycles. it’s a blend of two materials using a texture input to control their influence.
here is the blend if you want to examine it.

rust2EXP1.blend (1.91 MB)

You still working on this? I may want a version that is similar for a Rust project we are doing. Feel free to email me [email protected]

Thanks.
