Sweetness. Will come in very handy once I take that path.

WAUW!

Well, I’m pretty certain a thank you would be in order.

Thank you
Thank you
Thank you

Did I say “Thank you”?

I’'m having a small problem with the script.

I start it, all is fine.

I load MOT file and import it, all is OK

But when i try to load the text file I get an error. (You are supposed to load text file using load dopesheet button–>import text, right?)

File "MagpieIMP23x.py", line 388, in bevent
         File "MagpieIMP23x.py", line 440, in lecture_chainb
IOerror: [errno 2] no such file or directory: "

I’ll check it out. There may be a problem with how the .mot and .txt files are being transmitted when downloaded. I just might put a zip up with all the files. That should simplify the process. It may take me a day or two to update the site, but I will help you to get it working.

Regards,
Mike

The file download has been updated to one zip file. Also the script has been updated to be placed into the Blender.blender\scripts folder. Now the Animation section will have a script.

The script has also been updated to include a LAG overlap slider.

Before importing your text file, determine if you want shapes to overlap by any number of frames. On the interface legal values are 1 to 50. The original code set any previous shape to zero one frame before the next shape reached its peak. Now the second shape can overlap the finish of the first shape, alllowing two mouth shapes to blend as they transition from one to another. Just set the slider to a number greater than 1 before importing the magpie frame/key text file. Personally I like 2-3 frames if my mouth shapes are not too close together already.

Cheers,
Mike

Just a quick feed back, it works now. Thanks. I’m off to give this one some more testing.

MikeCuff. I see a link on your page that says something about a program called “Pamela” I did a search for it on yahoo. But all the links were dead. Do you have a source for it and what platform(Windows, linux,Mac) is it for?

Try:

http://www-personal.monash.edu.au/~myless/catnap/pamela/index.html

and also:

http://www.lostmarble.com/links.shtml is much better.

The others:

http://medieskolan.avc.edu.stockholm.se/3ds_pamela_lip_sync/3d_lip-sync_tutorial.htm

appear dead. It was not when I first researched it.

Even this site:

http://www.muranon.com/axel/stage/lipbox/index.shtml

references the same (dead) pamela site (on the right side)

Mike
