What the heck am I doing wrong here?

    Capture.PNG

The addon is active but I am not seeing the tessellate tools or even the tools tab, just a dropdown with half the tools.

did somebody use tissue to make a woven wire surface?
I find the main issue with tissue and such a structure that along the corners everything will merge / line up
but with a wire surface that is not the case.

    tissue.PNG

I attached the blend file if somebody wants to look at it.
    blend file: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Byz...ew?usp=sharing

I am not sure if I am right but it seems to me that such a structure is too hard for a paneling tool like tissue.

the wires where they cross do not flow into each other! that is what I seem not to be able to make when wires are diagonal.
when they go onto the midpoint of a face edge then it works

I just noticed that the lines to not weave but you have to layers
wires going left and on top wires going right

You want them to merge them right, i think you need to check it with rotating the mesh just like in the video.

I dont get your last message though, text is a bit weird. Im non English speaking, perhaps thats the cause

2.79 will come with the celtic knot generator addon as part of extra curve objects addon.
    https://blenderartists.org/forum/sho...Knot-Generator

    Select your mesh.
    Apply subsurf.
    Shift A -> Curve -> Knots -> Celtic Links
And it is done. You have nothing to think about.

Is this what you where aiming for?

I aligned the corners to the middle looking from the side and added corners so they will merge better

they actually do not connect at all - that is the tricky part
the only flow past each other

Sorry but they are connected, check the top one. Here's a closeup, vertices are perfect connecting each other and no double verts.

You want them to connect right?

I think this is better now. I applied a array on X and Y first and then used that object. Now it does look like there are crossing.

In this image, i than scaled the object by 0.5 and applied that.

maybe what I want to do is not possible with tissue.

    red is all good
    but blue shows all intersect

it works a tick better when the mesh is not diagonal
however i struggle with matching ends not open and it seems the pattern is not for each face but it seems to make a pattern for two faces!

    Hi Cekuhnen,
are you looking for something like this?

    001 - weaven structure test.jpg

In this case I used a wire component like this:

    002 - component wire.jpg

You can convert the result into a curve object and then add a bevel to the curves. If the merge option doesn't work in tissue, just use "remove doubles" before converting it to a Curve.
The good thing of this component is that it is independent of the rotation ;-)

Congratulations! (Somebody may have beat me to it) You're in v2.79.

    Welcome to the fold.

Is the script allows to create the different form of woven fabric, as shown in the figure, the textiles is mounted either + or - between them, as represented the red (+) color and the blue color in (-):
The cross-sectional shape is generally either, ellipse, rectangle, trapezoid or circle
