Hi!
I’ve just started new project. I chose IS-2 heavy tank ver.1944. I’m going to try new ways to create nice details. Welds joints will be sculpted in Zbrush. Then I will bake AO and normal maps.
Test of weld joint sculpt
Simple material with normal map
Normal map + dust from AO

Nice work again sir - but then you have set the benchmark very high with your T55…
Cheers, Clock.

Knowing the quality of your work, Im expecting to be blown away. Good luck!
P.S. did you ever finish the environment on your previous tank?

It already looks fantastic! Which references are you using, if I may ask?

Thanks quys!

Nope, I’m waiting for a better idea for an environment
Which references are you using, if I may ask?
I’m using references from:
http://data.primeportal.net/tanks/jan_peters/js2/index.php?Page=1
http://walkarounds.scalemodels.ru/v/walkarounds/afv/before_1950/IS-2+Museum+of+Stalingrads+Battle/?g2_page=1
http://www.dishmodels.ru/wshow.htm?p=2035&np=all
http://walkarounds.scalemodels.ru/v/walkarounds/afv/before_1950/Js-2M+mogilev/
and much more…
Those references, of course don’t come from 1944 model but there are a lot of common between those versions.
Looking great already! Keep at it!

It looks great! I like the bumps on the surface very much, I’d only decrease their strength on the running surface a bit.
Looking forward to the next update!

@Hans Zimr: Sorry, I can’t do this. Hope you understand.
Here you have a tutorial which explains almost everything: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JkaeUV2lwrk&feature=youtu.be
