It is still a work in progress.
Lets make BGE FAMOUS!!!

hey, cool! do the different tanks have different stats? ike is stan fast cause he’s small?

Actually Yes, Stan is faster than Regina and Sue

Hey Adrian,
The screenshots looks absolutely fabulous!
Models and animations of the dinosaurs and sounds are great! I’m very curious about the game and how far it will go.

Hey Orlin, I plan for the game to go all the way to steam just like your game
I have adapted the player controls and Artificial Intelligence enough that I think it will be explosive, All I need to do is keep optimizing the game until everybody can play it.
I really want shadows in this game…I’m gonna have both shadows and 60FPS.

Great! Keep up the good work!

Looks really good! Keep up the good work.

Thanks, I will

Screenshots look nice

Thanks cypher2012 :D!

The models look very nice! Try focus more on the animations. Keep up good work!

Wow this is amazing :o the models, textures and animations all look very professional  i hope you will create a more realistic and interesting landscape later on and i would suggest a healthsystem that allows you to regain health when you eat something that you find in the levels:) keep up the great work!

I have never actually been told that the animations are the ones that need work, that is usually the best part of it all.
Are you sure you are looking at the latest video? , If so I will continue to work hard on them.

Thanks LioKon! :D, I actually do have a health system on the main Rex, but everything is getting revamped right now.
The landscape will be an intricate network of large areas and the paths that connect them all(Disappearing from the scene as you get futher from them.), lastly the only dead dinos you’ll find on the map will be the ones that are killed in game or died in game…I’m trying to make this as much of a survival simuation as I can.

P.S T-rex World just reached 800 likes on facebook! Help me get it to 900, then 1,000, then 2,000.
Let’s make BGE Famous!!!
(Different parts of the game are being implemented)

Nanotyrannus Lancensis

“Night-vision”

Troodon at dusk

Haha okay sounds great  but maybe still add some dead animals in the scenery so if a player has not enough health to get food by fighting another dinosaur or something else he could pick up and eat what he found in the world to regain a bit of health  ofcourse this health should only stay temporary because the meat that he ate was old so maybe you can create some interesting gameplay there where the player has to decide if he should get temporary more health or not because your dinosaur could become sick from it.
Dont even know if this is possible to do in the BGE (i am kind of a noob :D) but i think this concept would work nice in a survival game like this

My BGE philosophy is, “Anything is possible!”
The things that are in T-rex World today were “impossible”, 2 years, 1 year, 6 months, heck 3 weeks ago.
Yeah, Some animals will die of old age or their wounds, and that is how you will find carcases.
This type of programming however has setback the projected release of this game, :frowning: But I think it will be worth it in the end

guess you are right  Defenitly gonna be worth it

New T-rex World Updates!
New Feathered Ornithomimus

New Environment

New Screenshots
Triceratops Gameplay
Professional Composer(meaning: he works for motion pictures)

The game looks great in the pictures!

So keep up the art work, looks fantastic!

I watched the game-play video. The collisions are killing it though. When they are attacking each other, you might want to only let them get so-close, and then carry out attack animations from a set distance, instead of having them walk through each other.

This will solve the collision issue, and will look a bit more realistic to normal behaviour anyway. If you look at some wildlife footage, most fighting animals, if they want to back-off, they will move backwards, turn-around and then run off.

In regards to the vegetation, I’ve learned this can be a real nuisance with path finding etc. For smaller vegetation, you might consider removing collision all together and just have collision/obstacles used on large elements like trees/large bushes. Again, this will actually make life easier AND be easier to implement AND look more realistic. It might look a bit weird having a dinosaur dodge a flower  You could add an animation to shrubs/plants so they move/rustle or whatever when they are being walked over to improve the immersion.

Hope that helps

Thanks!
Actually all the plants are set to “No Collision”, but I will add a bounding box to the big trees later on, and plant animation would be implemented but it is too taxing on the scene to make the plants Actors that react to players and AI units.
My collision detection for players is still primitive but it gets tighter as I go.

Thanks!

The game looks Cool. I see what you going to need. You`ll gonna need to have “hardware instancing” for the trees and “cascaded shadow maps” for the lightening, if you gonna use large not arena map. For the grass -> geometry shader and batching or again instancing the grass. For the terrain look here -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PTQVWZuzqkE
