Blender and Python - help file problems

New to blender and python

Am using MS Windows 2000

Have installed python to default directory on C: - when in blender if I try to access the help files and tutorials - I get the following error - ERROR - python script error - check console.

Any ideas anyone?

Well, did you ? Check the console I mean. The message there should give indications as to what happened. Report it here.

If you are using Windows, the console is the ‘Dos’ shell that opens at the same time as the main interface. If you are using LInux, start Blender from a console, shell, term… The messages Python has for you will be written in the shell.
