These are based on the x.1 versions, but have no shading on the controls.
This more closely matches Substance Painter 2.

Looks awesome ! Cheer!

Thanks, wuren.

I did more fine-tuning throughout the theme.

Some of the changes:

  • Removed “Widget Emboss” - This removed the white highlight under the controls.
  • NLA Editor - Darkened the strip colors and changed background color to match Graph Editor.
  • Timeline - Changed background color to match Graph Editor.

Additional change in 2.x versions only:

  • Added cyan highlighting to the Tool button text.

I replaced the files in posts #9 and #10 with these updates using the same version numbers.

Changes:

  • Graph Editor and Dope Sheet - Changed panels to grayscale. Added cyan highlight to selected item in 2.x versions.
  • Lightened the Menu buttons to match the other controls.
  • Darkened the File Browser background.
  • Minor adjustments elsewhere.

I replaced the files in posts #9 and #10 with these updates.
The reason for doing this is because higher version numbers could be confusing.
I like the simplicity of these version numbers:

  • 1.x - Painter 1 / Designer 5 highlighting
  • 2.x - Painter 2 cyan highlighting
  • x.1 - Shaded controls ( Painter 1 / Designer 5 )
  • x.2 - Flat controls ( Painter 2 )

This version is for those of you who want to take an extra step to get closer to the look of Painter 2.
You will need to disable text anti-aliasing and load the system font that Painter uses.

The value of the text in Painter is darker when used in Blender because of anti-aliasing which blurs
the edges with the background. To make the other versions look correct I had to use a lighter value.
For this version, the exact value is used and the shadows are removed.

In “User Preferences”, select the System tab and uncheck “Text Anti-aliasing”.
Click the button next to “Interface Font”, open the Windows Fonts folder and select “tahoma.ttf”.
I don’t know what font is used on Mac and Linux.
Click “Save User Settings” if you want to keep these settings.

Vray nice please keep update.

Great theme, I’ve been wanting to do a Substance theme myself, I guess I don’t have to anymore, thanks a lot.

Pretty nice but the orange selection color feels like its out of place, I recommend to try to change those with the same bright cyan thats constant in theme overal.

Thank you for your comments dhh, jpthrash and fiendish55.

I haven’t checked this thread for a while, which is why I haven’t replied until now.

fiendish55, thanks for that suggestion. Those changes make it look much better.
That inspired me to change most of the colors throughout the theme.

I also increased the size of the Panel Titles.

This includes updates to all versions (1.1, 1.2, 2.1, 2.2 and 2.2.2).
For explanation of version 2.2.2, read post 16.
For explanation of the other version numbers, read post 15.

I welcome more suggestions to improve it.
