If you know more post and comment.

Woah! These are really interesting! Thanks for sharing! : D

I saw a study of the lighting-techniques in, Doom 3, the other day - I’ll see if I can find it again ; )

Good info, I will like to integrate new modern game engine as doom 3 but it allows free and commercial, just make it dream ! But now I learn how to code like python, C and C++.

Thank for sharing, Akira_San !

I am fascinated by the article on “the last of us” I may have to try some of that.
I am also interested that so many render so many passes. I guess that’s why my integrated card can’t play any modern game.

Check out Open Tech Engine on Github, it’s a fork of the Doom3 BFG source code, the team is adding in new features and rendering techniques. They are also building addons for Blender to make it easier to export models and maps. This will help for people that struggle to map in DarkRadiant.

Im glad you find the articles interesting!@DerpGoose, make a new thread so the doom 3 fork can be discuses.

Hey,

there’s a website called https://simonschreibt.de/ where you can find a lot of useful graphic studies from many games. Although the URL is a German one, the website is written in English.

Nice website.

I’m just going to throw this video here:

It talks a lot about creating stylized graphics, and has some really good ideas.

I second this. Really good read.

Added 2 more: StarCraft II: Effects and Techniques and Doom DOOM (2016) - Graphics Study.

An interesting reads about semi-procedural textures. It’s an extension of what I’ve been experimenting with recently.
