Suggestion on rigging/skinning Trenchcoat

While in the context of animation, cloth simulation would be perfect for this;
how would one put armature on a trenchcoat for mobile game situation?

I want to achieve these kind of looks, hoping it ease-of-use constraints so the bones of the coat would ‘move’ according to the legs part of an armature.
Therefore, I’m looking for everyone’s suggestions. Thank you :smiley:

I don’t know what your game engine does, but the best first solution, I know is a second thigh bone that does a damped track to the shin/knee. That will follow thigh rotation without twisting. You’ll probably want individual bones in the coat tail for swings, flares and such, but that damped track thigh bone makes something sensible to parent them to.
