simple cloth simulation

I don’t know if this may help, but in my experience using the silk preset with structural modified to 0.5 tends to work better for skirts. Otherwise you may experience strange crawling effects. Also I tend to use low res geometry for both clothing and collision objects. And I turn subdivision off while simulating to avoid unnecessary slowdowns.

What I find annoying is that Blender physics doesn’t support linked objects. So for clothing simulation you have to load the character itself in the scene. That is, file -> append instead of the usual file -> link.

Just some tips. Good luck with your project
