What is presently being developed?

-I’m at a place where I need the freestyle lines implementation debugged,
and need the Blender Renderer use of them debugged as well.

-There needs to be enhancement on the knife too and the fill (brddge)
tool, so you can specify (or take) a new line cut or bridge
by length and angle, when in point or edge mode.

-The Node editor needs a new input node or so, to allow easy node
“selection” of objects and surfaces, materials and textures.

-What is presently happening around or with these issues,
in terms of present Blender development for the next official
stable release?

What is wrong with the freestyle lines? can you reliably reproduce the bug? can you create a test file and upload it to developer.blender.org

Youre best bet is to create a nice clean proposal on the tool needed and how it works… with a mockup design and ask for feedback… making a one liner probably isnt the best bet

what do you mean selection? selecting objects by material? shift l -> Material will do it.

-The Freestyle lines problems I have are uploaded in this post already. I find that I’m
getting inconsistencies in terms of what is and isn’t included. When surfaces
of the same material are within one another, as well as well as when surfaces
go from being behind surfaces to being visible to the camera. My problem:

Surely this is on the cards anyway. People need to be able to specify by angle, sometimes.
Someone else has to have noticed this. Is there anything happening here, anyway?

-How far away in time is the next release for Blender, then?

my upload generates, in terms of edges not detected
or drawn? How far away is a consistent solution?
