Lately I have been absolutely obsessed with attempting to create a realistic tree. My current attempt I feel is quite nice, however maybe the colour variation is too extreme. Maybe this recent obsession is me trying to prove to myself I don’t need the Grove 3D addon… 
The leaves are a modification of the ones on the bush from my ‘Foggy Swamp’ scene.
Excuse any possible JPEG artifacting, the PNG size was too large.
By the way, the background and ground was just a quick thing I did so it wasn’t a tree in empty space. I will improve that as I go along but don’t feel the need to critique it. Of course, if you wish to, critique it anyway 
Do you have translucency in those leaves? Now they seem quite plastic or somekind of fabric.
