I am fairly new to Blender and was wondering how I can use ALT to rotate my view even when my mouse is set to select on left click. Most software uses left click for selecting so I would prefer to have it setup like that. Is this something I can setup manually?
Is there a way of stopping Blender from activating a tool when the tool is selected from its menu? For example lets say I want to extrude. By default it seems to start extruding once I select the tool. Most other 3D software will only activate the tool once you click and drag in the viewport. I hope this makes sense
…and don’t let the fact confuse you, that “Emulate 3 Button Mouse” is greyed out as soon as you enable “Select with Left” - you can still successfully check that box.
gamedesign, have you come across my setup for blender? it has ALT-Navigation, and is LMB-centric with some more consistency in the interaction when compared to other appz.
