The other day I tried to upload a blend file and got a error message. I decided to try doing a zip file and got the same error. The zip file was 2.63 MB and it says you can upload up to 15 MB . Can you not directly upload a blend or zip file? I ended up getting my blend uploaded with dropbox and a link.
It shouldn’t typically be a problem to upload a .blend file of that size. To which thread were you trying to add your attachment?
Also, when you get an error message, it’s much more helpful if you can share what exactly that specific error message was.

Here’s trying a zip file just now. I think the blend gave me the same error.
Is the .blend file also 2.63MB?

Im having problems attaching a blend/zip file to a thread id like to start.
Upload process reached 100% but i dont see any file uploaded in the manager.
If of any use, blend file is less than 15 mb (zip also) and i tried with mozzila and chrome, uploading from different access point…thats about it.
Any reason for this happening - any solution?

I don’t know about uploading to the forum. They may have a size limit. But…
You can upload to http://pasteall.org/blend/
No account or sign in required. I think pasteall is run by the same group that runs the forum here, and is kind of the goto for uploading blend files.

Many thanks for this - i did saw pasteall being used before but i was unsure what is preferred in the community here.
Problem solved.
.blend file attachments are a known issue on the forum right now. It’s being worked on.
Merged these two threads since they’re related.
Also, as of yesterday, I think this is fixed. Feel free to check and confirm.
Just did a .zip and it worked with no issues.
