How to continuously rotate with fixed axis?

Hi,

How do you do constinuous rotation (say along the Z axis), whilst having the view locked to the XY plane (using key 7 on the numpad)?

I don’t know what you mean by continuous rotation, if you hit ‘R’ and after hit ‘Z’ you will rotate on z axis.

With numpad7 (top view), R is enough for rotation Z-axis.

Sorry, I was not clear enough. I mean continuous rotation of the viewport around the Z axis, locked on the XY plane. I know how to do rotation at increments pressing the numpad 4 and 6, but I dont know how to rotate the viewport continuosly! How do you do it?
