simple animation from Blender to Max

Hi,

I am trying to get a simple animation from Blender to Max with the fbx export.
But it is unfortunately not working.

When export the file as as an fbx:

  • Re-Import to Blender works fine, animation is still here
  • Imort to Max, Objects are there but the animation data is lost

I have tried this with a very simple, basic part. A cube which is animated and even this is not working.

Does anybody knows a workflow how this can be done?
I have tried fbx binary and ASCII

Any help is much appreciated.

OK,
I found the problem.
For importing fbx to Max the import of the animation is not acitvated as standard. You have activate it.
The checkbox however is hidden in the “edit” panel far away.
In the fbx Import window, you have to navigate to ->Edit-> Include -> Animation -> Mark the checkbox

Hope this information is also helpful for someone else, who might run into the same problem.
