Lasergun

I’m making a lasergun. I’m using a vertex in the front, to ermit my laser-3D-objekts. Is there any way to trigger the particles? A way to decide, when the particles are ermitting?
I want to make an animation and it looks awful, when the person with the gun shoots all the time.
Is there any other way to achive my result? That i dont have to create a new particle-system, when he is shooting again, after a break.

Do it the old fashioned way with roto shapes and compositing? With this approach, you draw the shape of the laser by hand and animate it. This “shape” (usually white) is then run through a bunch of compositing nodes to turn it into a laser.

Do you mean, that I make the animation, and then later add laser to it, with programms like aftereffects?

Yeah. AE, Blender, Natron, Fusion- They’ll all do it, and there’s lots of tutorials how to do it.
