Ahoy, that looks pretty good. I would turn the luminosity of the … uhm …“hot” part up a little bit and create some little glow around it with compositing.
Hi, In my opinion you have to use a emisive map in the blade. Use a more interesting light to show your model, that one its very bad, looks like you are trying to hide your prop. if its for a game, please show us the wireframe ,the textures and texture resolution to help you. But for now the shapes are interesting
Ok ill get some screen captures of the wireframe and ill try to show the textures maps i used. Im not familiar with emisive maps though as i am still new to blender.
