Ginger Girl

After not using Blender for a year or so, I decided to pick it up again. Inspired by several Pixar characters and several real life people:

I’d like to know what people think.

Here’s the things I know/think are wrong:

  • Need to exaggerate hair blowingness more
  • Are those gills under the right arm?
  • Hair on top of head looks like a dead racoon
  • Eyes aren’t sparkly enough (any suggestions on how to improve that?)

Thanks

Well, I solved the sparkly eye problem with the magic of the toon shader

I’ve fixed the problems I outlined above. So, I’m going to call it finished, but critiques still very much appreciated. I feel there’s something off the lighting, but I’ve been looking at it too long now.

I think a lot of Pixar stuff uses Sub Surface Scattering and a heavy amount of Ambient Occlusion , they could both be lacking a little from your render. Also the purple looks like it needs to be pushed further in to the background. That said I like the colours you have chosen and well done for finishing a cool character.

Reminds me of Merida from Brave
