Free Wood Crate

Hello BGE gamedevs. Here is a little gift, I hope it can be usefull.


Love the aesthetics. I have a constructive crateicism: Some of those nails look like they’re in the wrong places to join two pieces together. Like, on the point closest the camera, there are two nails that seem to be hammered into the end of a length of wood. Also, some of the critical joints have only one nail each. Just nit-picking though.

Also, if each square face has two triangles, shouldn’t the tricount be 12? I’m curious where the two extra tris are?

Hello Raiderium. Yes good observation in both cases.

Correct 6 faces = 12 tris. But blender displays 14 when you re not in edit mode. I can t figure why. So I prefer to anounce 14.

You are right about the nail. I m thinking of a new version, thank you.

I noticed in some places, Blender counts all the tris in the scene when not in edit mode, perhaps it’s counting the ground plane in the total? If the ground is just a quad then that would explain it :slight_smile:
