Well I missed the entry time, but I would like to show you my non-competing entry anyway. It’s about an idea that have been in my head for over a year, but for some reason I always failed to make it done (time, skills and so…).
Please let me know in the comments what is you true opinion about it, so I will get better next time!

We would probably have to dispossess Icestorm for that - which doesn’t feel right 
Actually, I’m having trouble to find any relevant flaws. The two parties are separated by may aspects of the image (separate hills, light vs dark sky, falling flowers vs blooming tree,…) which is very nice. (Well, not for everyone, obviously.)
However, I misinterpreted the story when I first saw the image yesterday. I thought the poor guy was just too late and someone else took the chance - and succeeded. I didn’t think the foreground boy and the girl were already together (boy- and girlfriend), as the cheating coupe isn’t hiding at all but instead is standing out in the open (on a hill - for everyone to see) surrounded by light and a happy atmosphere. So before reading the title today I was sure this was about being too late rather than cheating.
[EDIT] Thinking about it now, this could be what you had in mind all along. What a cruel cheating couple! But who knows? Maybe he deserved it.
Maybe he should have done his chores…
Nice picture eyalmu, and my comments would mirror Helge’s, first impression is “He who hesitates is lost”. Like the colors in it.

I like the lighting on the tree in the first one, but the ground looks nicer with the grass.
