muscles flexing

I’m not sure whether or not armatures can be edited in python-

In AM they have a feature called smart skin- you model your character, create like a vertex key, then move the bone and create a new vertex key of the muscle flexing- so automatically as you move the armature up the muscle will flex!

never used it but it sounds like a cheap way to fake musles.
any thoughts?

You can’t access Armature as is, but you can access any objects parented to a bone (like an Empty for example). You can also dynamicly control IPO, so you could control the amount of deformation of a RVK. In fact, what you are talking about was already done in a very close demo by Chris Clawson. It was never released though.
